Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the flyweight division. She is the younger sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the event and beat Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home another medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, and a gold in the year 2011, and was crowned in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional career 2003. She took home at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in 2012 as well as the Lightweight Lion Fight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was by a unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off her professional MMA career in 2002, with the victory over Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing, and took a long time off of MMA. She returned in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Following this victory Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC in her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious by unanimous decision, but she lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko lost 1-2 over the next three fights she lost to Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
